Text message generator

Fake text message generator

Type a text conversation, choose who said what, and save it as a realistic phone screenshot. The texts use the iPhone look, which most text story videos use. Free, in your browser, with no account.

For stories, mockups and prototypes. Not for impersonation or fake evidence.

How to make fake text messages

  1. 1

    Start from the sample

The editor above already holds a short text thread. Delete it or edit it line by line.

  2. 2

    Type the texts

Write each message, flip it between you and the other person, and set the contact name and the time.

  3. 3

    Save the screenshot

Download just the phone screen or the whole thread as a PNG at 2x or 3x. No watermark.

Make the texts look real

  • Both sides of the thread

Any message can be from you or from them; bubbles group and get their tails on their own.

  • Read receipts

End on "Delivered" or "Read" with a time, or hide receipts entirely.

  • Group texts

Add several people and a group name; every text shows who sent it.

  • Dark mode

Late-night texts look better dark. One click switches the whole screen.

  • Clock and battery

Set the time and battery in the status bar so the screenshot matches your story.

  • Five languages

"Today", "Read" and "Delivered" in English, Portuguese, German, Spanish or French.

Fake text message questions

Is the text message generator free?
Yes. You can write as many texts as you like and download the screenshot for free, with no watermark and no account.
Does it look like an iPhone or an Android phone?
Right now the texts use the iPhone (iMessage) look. An Android-style text screen is planned.
Can I make a long text conversation?
Yes. Export the whole thread as one tall image, or only the screen to show the latest texts as on a phone.
Are my texts saved anywhere?
Only in your own browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, and the PNG is created on your device.
Can I send these texts to someone?
No. It only makes images. It does not send SMS and it must not be used to pass off a conversation as real.
