Privacy policy

Fakeconvo is a browser tool for making chat mock-ups. You don't need an account, and the chats you build never leave your device.
Your chats stay in your browser
Everything you type in the studio (names, messages, settings) is saved in your browser's local storage so it is still there next time. It is not sent to our servers.
PNG exports are rendered on your device. We never receive the image. Clearing your browser data deletes the saved chat.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and whether the tool works. Only if you accept in the cookie banner, it sets cookies and collects pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and referrer.
When you export a PNG we record an event with the platform, size and scale you chose. We never record the content of your chat.
Google Analytics is off until you accept it in the cookie banner. If you decline, it is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer; withdrawing deletes the Google Analytics cookies. Ad storage and ad personalisation are always denied.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
What we don't do
We don't have user accounts, we don't sell personal data and we don't use your chats for anything.
Paid plans are not available yet. When they are, payments will be handled by Stripe and this policy will be updated before launch.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the LGPD), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Because we don't store your chats and have no accounts, most data about you is held by our analytics and hosting providers, Google and Vercel.
Changes
We'll update this page when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
