Good uses

Memes, jokes and clearly fictional stories.

Short videos, skits and social posts.

App, product and marketing mock-ups.

Tutorials, education and awareness material, for example showing what a scam message looks like.

Film, TV, game and book props.

Not allowed

Fraud and scams, including fake payment confirmations or fake support chats.

Fake evidence for courts, police, employers, schools, insurers, landlords or anyone else making a decision.

Impersonating a real person or company to mislead people.

Harassment, bullying, threats, blackmail or defamation, including fake chats that put words in a real person's mouth.

Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements presented as real.

Sexual content involving minors, and any other illegal content.

Be clear it's a mock-up

If someone could mistake your image for a real conversation, say it's fictional. Don't present a mock-up as a screenshot of something that happened.

Enforcement

We may block access for anyone who breaks this policy and will cooperate with lawful requests from the authorities. If you see an image made with Fakeconvo being used to deceive or harm, please report it to the platform where it was posted.
