30 TikTok comment ideas for reply videos and skits
Published 1 November 2026
The best reply videos start with a comment people want to see answered. Here are 30 comments to copy for skits, reply videos and content plans, sorted by what they do, and a free way to see one on a TikTok-style comment sheet before you film.
What makes a comment worth replying to
A comment that works on screen is short enough to read in one second and leaves a question open: how, why, or "prove it". Write it the way people really type on a phone, mostly lowercase with one emoji at most, and give it a reason to exist: a question, a doubt, a request for part 2. Comments that only say "nice" make good background, not a whole video.
Questions that turn into reply videos
- "how long did this actually take you?"
- "wait, what app did you use for the edit?"
- "can you do this with a smaller budget?"
- "part 2 or i'm not leaving"
- "what would you do differently next time?"
- "recipe please 🙏"
- "how do you stay motivated every day?"
- "is this beginner friendly?"
Doubts and challenges (the classic reply-video hook)
- "no way this works, show the full process"
- "that's not how you're supposed to do it 😅"
- "bet you can't do it in one take"
- "try it with your left hand"
- "this only worked because of the lighting"
- "do it again but faster"
Funny comments for skits and memes
- "the cat in the background is the real star"
- "i watched this 6 times and still don't know what happened"
- "me pretending i understood the instructions"
- "the way i gasped out loud on the bus"
- "not the dramatic music at 0:07 😭"
- "tell me you're a morning person without telling me"
- "who else is here at 2am"
- "the ending was NOT what i expected"
Supportive comments and creator replies
- "this made my whole day, thank you"
- "saving this for later 📌"
- "you deserve way more followers"
- Creator reply: "replying with the full tutorial tomorrow!"
- Creator reply: "you asked, part 2 is up 👀"
- Creator reply: "took me 3 tries, honestly"
- Creator reply: "challenge accepted."
- Creator reply: "thank you, this means a lot 🫶"
See a comment on screen before you film
Open the TikTok comments generator. Under People, the person marked "me" is the creator and gets the "Creator" badge, so type your handle there and rename the others to invented viewer usernames. Add a comment, pick who wrote it in the name menu, and set its "Time" (like "2d") and "Likes" (like "12.3K").
To show a creator reply, add one with "+ From me" and choose the comment it answers under "Reply to": it moves indented under that comment with the Creator badge. Download the PNG at 2x or 3x and lay the comment over the first second of your reply video.
Use it the right way
Comment mockups are for reply videos, skits, memes, ad concepts and lessons, with invented usernames. Never put words in the mouth of a real creator or a real account, never invent comments to mock or harass someone, and never pass a mockup off as a real comment. Our acceptable use page has the details.
Fakeconvo makes mockups and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd. TikTok is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd.; the name is used only to describe the style.
